A BRIEF BIOGRAPHY
Jacinta Grima is a clinical psychologist who specialises in providing therapy to children, adolescents, families and adults.
Jacinta collaborates with her clients to provide an authentic therapeutic environment and integrates evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and takes a family systems and attachment perspective.
Jacinta has more than 15 years of experience working with clients across the lifespan in public and private settings in both urban and rural areas. She has a particular interest in working with families struggling with a range of difficulties that emerge during childhood and adolescence (such as behaviour problems, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, perfectionism, ADHD, Tourette’s disorder, school and study related difficulties, autism, parent-child relationship problems) and working with parents during the perinatal and postnatal period.
Jacinta is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association, the Australian Psychological Society, and is a Fellow of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. She is an active member of the the Australian ADHD Professionals Association and an Associate Member of the Australasian Menopause Society. She provides supervision to psychologists, clinical psychologists and clinical psychologist registrars. Jacinta has previously held academic appointments as an Adjunct Fellow and Casual Academic with Western Sydney University.
